Jo Sutton's Experience

Osteopathy has been my life and passion for over 24 years now. I feel so privileged to be doing a job I still love so much and that has taken me all around the globe.

I trained at The British School of Osteopathy in London, graduating in 2001. I then did another year post graduate study in 2007 to become a qualified Equine Osteopath. I particularly enjoy working with women’s health, headaches, age-related problems, and chronic pain. Osteopathy is like being a body detective, and no 2 cases are ever the same.

Growing up, I was into every sport I could find. I was a competitive swimmer till age 13. I was a sprint hurdler, played tennis, been horse riding since I was 4, done the whole gym bunny bit, spent several years doing boxing and kickboxing, and then discovered Pilates and yoga after a very bad horse riding accident. As a result, I am trained in level 1 and 3 APPI Mat Pilates, and I love to utilise that knowledge in my client sessions.

About Jo

Nowadays, sports wise I have “aged induced slowness” but the passion still runs strong! Walking and weights and Pilates seem to be my thing at the moment. The odd game of tennis, but my partner has the annoying habit of beating me, so I need to change that up.

I have 2 wonderful teenage sons. Henry has flown the nest after finishing school last year and is currently terrorising the Northern Hemisphere! Sam is year 11 and football mad. He’s also a great cricketer, tennis player and is massive, so good for any sort of lifting/pushing based activity!

So what else drives me? Books…. I’m an avid book worm. True crime documentaries, love em. Gardening, music and cooking also make me happy and I love socialising!

I’m very excited to get to know a lot of new faces, both Human, Horse and Hound.
